Paso Doble
Paso Doble is said to be derived from an 18th century Spanish folk dance and its accompanying march music, orignally used for processions. The French developed the dance in the 1920s and 30s. It is essentially theatrical, portraying the bullfight. It is not a social dance. The French do apparently possess a social version but that dance is not known internationally.
This is an enthusiasts dance. We teach it only in special circumstances.
